meson properties and decay
We intend to provide an overview of the present status in these fields,
as well as new developments and a review of the forthcoming experiments.
The conference maintain the tradition of the workshops on "Meson
production, interaction and decay", Cracow 1991, "Strangeness
in nuclei", Cracow 1992 and "Meson-nulceus interations",
Cracow 1993 with the topics that comprise subjects of these workshops.
Format and Schedule
The conference sessions will be held from Friday, May 10, through
Tuesday, May 14, 1996. There will be the morning plenary sessions
intended for invited general lectures. Afternoon seminars will be
essentially devoted to discussions. Both invited and
contributed papers will be presented orally.
Proceedings
Invited talks and contributed papers will be published following the
conference in the proceedings of the conference (special issue of
Acta Physica Polonica).
Registration and Conference Fee
A conference fee of 100 $ will be charged to all participants. It
will entitle each participant to attend all sessions and the social
program, and includes refreshments and one copy of the proceedings.
Location
The workshop will be held at the
Conference Center of the Jagellonian University.
The Center is located in a beautiful surroundings at ca 6 km distance from
the Cracow center.
Cracow is an old city, the former capital city of Poland and the seat
of the second oldest University in Middle Europe founded in 1364.
Accommodations
Most of the participants will be accomodated in the Conference Centre
hotel. The number of participants is limited to about 100 persons.
Since we expect more guests than the number of available places at
the Conference Centre hotel some participants will be accomodated
in hotels in the City. Some
places in Student Hotels will be also available. For those guests
the transportation to the Conference Centre (before the morning sessions)
and back (after the evening events) will be organized.
Excursions
A sightseeing tour of
Cracow will be organized with the visit to the
Wawel castle and
University Museum. A short excursion to Wieliczka
will be organized also on Sunday. There is the famous
Wieliczka Salt Mine
one of the oldest in Europe. The oldest parts of this still active
mine are open to tourists.
