HOW TO GET TO THE CONFERENCE CENTER AND HOTELS

For participants accomodated in University Hotels in the city the transportation to the Conference Center (before the morning sessions) and back (after the evening events) will be organized. Check on the map the place of the bus departure.

BY TAXI We advice to take only company cabs that have the taxi company telephone number displayed. The best is to order taxi by phone (call e.g. 919, 9664, 9622, 9629, 9663, 9661, 9628) since many companies offer up to 40% discount when taxi is ordered by phone. Taxi rank at the railway central station is just above the platforms. Follow the stairs to reach the upper level. Taxi rank at the airport is at the exit from the airport building.

BY LOCAL PUBLIC TRANSPORT - bus (see lines map) and tram (see lines map). Before getting in you should buy a ticket in a stand indicated as "Kiosk". You can easily find them around the town -- they sell newspapers. The fare is 2.4 zl (or 2.5 zl outside the city e.g. from the airport) for one regular bus/tram ride, or 3.0 zl for the one-hour ticket that makes it possible to change bus and tram lines. If you carry large luggage with you an additional ticket should be used. One should stamp the ticket immediately after entering the bus/tram in a special device there.

From the railway station to Conference Center: Take tram No. 2 (see map how to get to the tram) going in direction SALWATOR, exit on the last stop after about 25 minutes. There is large number of busess going to the direction of the Conference Center. Only bus No. 409 will bring you directly to the Conference Center. You may also take bus No. 109, 209, 239, 249, 259 or 269. Than you should get off after about 6 minutes (ask someone to show you the right stop Przegorzaly). Then, after leaving the bus you will see the big building of the Conference Center situated at the top of the nearby hill on the right. Follow the side road, perpendicular to the main street. After some 200 m you will find the open Conference Center gate on the left. A little bit of climbing along a steep road brings you to the first buildings. Continue climbing to the top of the hill 100 m farther to find the Conference Center hotel and the conference hall (see map of walking way bus - Conference Center).

From the airport to Conference Center: Take bus No. 208 and exit on the next bus stop. Pass the street, there is another bus stop on the oposite site of the street. There take bus No. 209 going in direction SALWATOR. Than you should get off after about 15 minutes (ask someone to show you the right stop Przegorzaly). Then, after leaving the bus you will see the big building of the Conference Center situated at the top of the nearby hill on the left. Follow the side road, perpendicular to the main street. After some 200 m you will find the open Conference Center gate on the left. A little bit of climbing along a steep road brings you to the first buildings. Continue climbing to the top of the hill 100 m farther to find the Conference Center hotel and the conference hall (see map of walking way bus - Conference Center).

From the railway station to University Hotel at Florianska Str.: walking distance (see map).

From the airport to University Hotel at Florianska Str.: Take bus No. 208 and exit on the last bus stop, than take tram No. 3, 5, 7 or 19. Exit tram on the second stop after about 3 minutes. The hotel is in walking distance of about 200 meters (see map).

From the railway station to University Hotel at Garbarska Str.: Take tram No. 2, 4, 14 or 15 (see map how to get to the tram). Exit on the second tram stop, from there the hotel is in distance of about 300 m (see map).

From the airport to University Hotel at Garbarska Str.: Take bus No. 208 and exit on the last bus stop, than take tram No. 3, 5, 7 or 19. Exit tram on the second stop after about 3 minutes. The hotel is in walking distance of about 300 meters (see map).

From the railway station to Institute of Nuclear Physics Guesthouse: Take tram No. 5 (see map how to get to the tram). Exit on the third tram stop, than take bus 120. Exit bus after about 27 minutes on the Motel Krak bus stop.

From the airport to Institute of Nuclear Physics Guesthouse: Take bus No. 208 and exit on Armii Krajowej bus stop (after about 25 minutes), than take bus 173 and exit bus on the third stop - Motel Krak, after about 4 minutes.
