Dear Colleague:
We are very glad that you will attend the MESON96 Workshop and we look forward to your visit. Please find here the final version of the program and some other detailed information which you might consider useful.

The organizers would be very grateful if you confirm, as soon as possible, your participation in the workshop.

Please inform us when and in what way you will arrive at Cracow. The organizers will try to arrange your trasportation from the railway station or the Cracow airport to the conference center.

We would like to know if you decided in which excursion you want to take part, since we have to organize it in advance.

During the Workshop, Secretariat in the Conference Center will be open everyday from 8:30 a.m. till 7 p.m.

Plenary morning and afternoon sessions will be held from Friday, May 10 through Tuesday, May 14 except Sunday, May 12. At the afternoons the parallel seminar sessions will be organized. The constant poster display during the whole Workshop will be hold. The detailed time schelude is given in the PROGRAM.

Conference Fee

The Conference fee ammounts to 100$ for every participant. The participants will be entitled to attend all sessions, a social evening on Saturday evening and a Sunday excursion. One copy of the proceedings as well as refreshments served during breaks in the sessions will be free.

Proceedings

The Conference papers will be published in a special issue of Acta Physica Polonica. The papers should be prepared according to the detailed instructions given in Acta Physica Polonica vol. 26 (1995).To speed up the publication of the proceedings the participants are requested to send in advance or to provide at latest on registration the source code of the paper in the plain TEX or LaTEX format. PostScript-formatted figures will be of a considerable help. Two printed copies of a manuscript are obligatory. It has been foreseen up to 15 pages for a 45 minute lecture, 10 pages for a 30 minute talk and 3 pages for a 20 minutes seminar or a poster. Cultural Program

Specially for the participants of the Workshop a concenrt of the University Barok Orchestera "Consortium Jagiellonicum" will be organized in the Collegium Novum Aula on Sunday 12, May at 19. The concert is a part of the 632 anniversary celebration of the Jagellonian University founding.

A list of cultural events taking place in Cracow during the Workshop will be available in the Secretariat. Tickets should be ordered at least one day in advance. Especialy, tickets for the Capella Cracoviensis concert which will take place on Thursday 9, May (the day of arrival).

Social Program

On Saturday evening, May 11 there will be an informal social meeting in the Conference Center restaurant. Sunday, May 12 will be free for optionally chosen excursions:

There is a possibility to combaine Cracow and Wawel sightseeing with the excursion to the Wieliczka Salt Mine.

Useful Information

Currency exchange

The local monetary unit is "zloty", abbreviated zl. During this year the two monetary units (old and new "zloty") are in use, 1 new zl 1 new zl = 10000 old zl. On 30 March 1996 the exchange rate was $1.00 US = 2.5 zl. The exchange can be done in some banks and exchange offices called "Kantor" in many cities and on the frontier or in the airports. Certain internationally recognized credit cards are accepted in some banks and hotels.
